Full Color: full range of colors (blues, browns, greens, some purple), natural cleft top.
Blue: selected Blue range of colors, no browns, no greens, typically thermal/flamed top, very limited in natural cleft (call for availability).
Variegated: full color thermal/flamed top with options for various edge treatments
Planking: available in selected Blue OR Variegated, always thermal/flamed top and 1 long edge.
Thermal/flamed material is always taken out of a block, so top surface is initially sawn, then flamed as a second step.
Treads should typically be thermal/flamed top as natural cleft material tends to have clefting deeper than acceptable as tread/material. Edge treatment can be thermal, sawn, snapped, or rock faced (customer's choice).
Thermal/flamed process is done by using either a conveyor belt run through an "oven" whereby fire/flames pop surface of the stone to create a slightly rough texture. To thermal an edge, a torch or wand is used to pop the surface of the stone.
